He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron Carpenter and Cecile Carpenter (Gagne). He is survived by: his daughters, Joan Gelinas (Daniel) of Gardner, MA, Melinda Grimshaw of Putnam and Rebecca Gerst (Joseph) of Davin, WV; and his siblings, Robert Carpenter of Plainfield, Wayne Carpenter of Danielson, Helene Ahnberg of Sterling and Kathleen Acompora of Cheshire. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
