She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Thomas Schifilliti; her parents, Angelo Carafano and Rafaela Carafano (Mancini); her daughter Diane Masewicz (Robert) of Southington; her sisters, Mary Stebar of Prospect, Angelina Carafano of Prospect, Carmella Carafano of Prospect and Vincenza Carafano of Southbury; her grandchildren, Lynelle Smailes (Scot) of Southington and Glen Masewicz of Southington; and her great grandchildren, Olivia and Joshua Smailes. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
