He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Tillinghast and Esther Tillinghast (Drake); and his siblings, Gail and Jim. He is survived by: his children, Megan Hernandez (Jessi) of Preston and Glen Tillinghast of Groton; his siblings, Robert Tillinghast Sr., John, Leslie, Ray, Danny and David Tillinghast; and his granddaughters, Akirah and Mariah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
