She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Raymond Gross and Pauline Gross (Krueger); her spouse Thoedore A. Spanos Sr.; and her brothers, Raymond Gross, Elwood Gross and Donald Gross.

She is survived by: her children, Carol Shafer (Chris) of Plantsville, CT. and Ted Spanos Jr. (Katrina) of Preston, CT.; her grandchildren, Eric Shafer of University Place, WA, Jennifer Perillo (Shafer) of Plantsville, Benjamin Shafer of Cheshire, Timothy Spanos of Preston, Holly Marrow (Spanos) of St. Augustine, FL and Erin Spanos of Preston; and her great grandchildren, Cameron Shafer, Ella Perillo and Alexander Perillo.
