He is survived by: his wife Margaret Nardo Zagarenski (Peggy); his siblings, Barbara Ruggiero and Glen Zagarenski; his son-in-law Michael VanVlaenderen; and also, Barbara Freeland and Carol Onderdonk. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
