It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Pond (Preston, Connecticut), born in New London, Connecticut, who passed away on February 21, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her significant other Earl Thompson; her children, Vickie (Timothy Spakowski), Lyman R. (Carol Pond), Katherine (William Sharpe) and Christopher Pond (Cait); her niece Troelle Hamilton; her sisters, Rustie Crossman Crees and Barbara Hamilton; her husband Lyman R. Pond III; her daughters, Elaine Pond and Lucy Manchester; and her niece Lori Eckersley. She was also cherished by twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
