We are sad to announce that on March 23, 2019, Robert Steele Sr. (Portland, Connecticut), born in Hartford, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Steele and Lucinda Steele (Hodge); his son Gregory Allen Steele; his sisters, Jane Holmes and Dorothy Philips; and his son-in-law David Bordonaro.

He is survived by: his children, Deborah Soter (Philip) of Colchester, Barbara DeBarber (Christopher) of Southbury, Linda Bordonaro of Portland, Betty Morgan of Portland, Robert Steele Jr. (Nance) of Portland and John Steele of Portland; his grandchildren, Jaime Soter, Nicole, Kate, Erin DeBarber, Greg Steele, Alexis, Nathan, Victoria, Angelina Steele, Spencer Morgan, Jay and Anna Bordonaro; and his great grandchild Presley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SmileTrain organization.
