She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Mason and Helen Estelle Morrison (Lukeman); her siblings, Tom, Helen, Marion and Annie; her husband George M. Gilbert, Jr. of West Orange, NJ; her daughters-in-law, Donna and Joanne; her granddaughter Jennifer; and her great grandchild Hudson.
She is survived by: her sister Jane; and her children, George M. Gilbert III (Carol), Stephen Gilbert (Christine), Reverand Francis Gilbert, Charles Gilbert, John Gilbert, Joseph Gilbert (Molly), Andrew Gilbert (Maria), David Gilbert (Teresa), Patricia Lynch (Tony), Patrick Gilbert (Tina) and Mark Gilbert (Deneen). She is also survived by 20 Grand Children and their spouses, and 25 Great Grand Children.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Biega Funeral Home (3 Silver St, Middletown, CT 06457). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Church (51 Freestone Ave, Portland, CT 06480).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Portland's Church of Saint Mary, Middlesex Hospice or the Portland Food Bank.
