He is survived by: his significant other Mary Ann Johnson; his children, Derrick Polite, Corey Polite, James Spencer of Nashville, TN., Tina Polite Thompson, Mona Hampton, Karen Turner and Erica Polite of Dallas; his siblings, Willie B. Polite of Sacramento, Ardis Polite of Flint Michigan, Percy Polite (Janice), Erma Polite Brooks of Little Rock and Minnie Conley of Little Rock; and his close friend Vera Polite. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren.
