She is survived by: her children, Michael Schmidt (Carol) of Durham, CT, Joanne Schmidt of The Villages, FL, Nancy Higgins (Thomas) of Bethesda, MD and Alison Schaal (Matthew) of Bend, OR; her stepchild Jaye Ellen Mills of St. Mary's, GA; her grandson Michael Schmidt (Stephanie); and her great grandchildren, Logan, Lennon, Eric Schmidt, Nicholas and Andrew Schaal.
