Maria C. Duarte Obituary
The memory of Maria C. Duarte of Plymouth, Connecticut, who passed away on February 12, 2025 at the age of 94, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Jose Francisco Duarte; her parents, Pedro A. Araujo and Angelina Julia Araujo (Brito); her daughter Angelina DaGraca; her grandsons, Maurice Glenn and Matthew J. Duarte; and her siblings, Jose M. Duarte, Mica Brito and Julia Brito.
She is survived by: her children, Peter Duarte (Melvenie) of Waterbury, Maria L. Glenn (Walter) of Hephzibah, GA and Monique DaGraca; and her brother Miguel Brito of Cape Verde. She is also survived by granddaughter who she raised, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chase Parkway Memorial (430 Chase Pkwy, Waterbury, CT 06708). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (2071 Baldwin St, Waterbury, CT 06706). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (2324 E Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705).
