He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Jeannette Fortin (Seneschal); his parents, Delphis Fortin and Amanda Fortin (Dionne); and his son William. He is survived by: his children, Rita Paradis (Ken), Roland Fortin Jr. (Estelle), Michael Fortin Sr. (Kelly) of Plantsville, Paul Fortin Sr. (Roseann) of Plantsville and Brian Carter (John); and his sisters, Irene Strid, Joyce Zetterman and Camella Sirois. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
