It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Collins of Plantsville, Connecticut, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on April 14, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Collins and Hazel Collins; his wife Kathleen Collins (Seymour); his children, Patricia Nichols and Michael Collins; and his sister MaryLou Smallwood.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Katrenya (Andrew) of Naugatuck, Nancy Roach (Thomas) of Southington and Jeffrey Collins of Seymour; his grandchildren, Kelly Behuniak, Dana Booker (Brian), Colleen Behuniak, Andrew Katrenya (Kristen), Adam Katrenya (Pilar), Wesley Katrenya (Kimberly), Dylan Roach, Erin Roach and Sean Roach; his great grandchildren, Haley Katrenya, Noah Booker and Elise Katrenya; and his brother John W. Collins of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
