She was predeceased by: her husband Leo Pomoranski; and her siblings, Margaret Phillips, Robert, Richard, Ronald and Donald Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, George Appleby (Doreen Goodrich) of Rocky Hill, Patrick Appleby (Elizabeth) of Foxboro, MA, Christine Cannon of Plainville, Susan Ventura (Rick) of Plainville and Rosemary Bryant (Gerald) of Burlington; her sisters, Doris Fisher of Plainville and Karen Googel of New Britain; her grandchildren, Ryan Cannon (Lauren Nicastro), Kendall, Emily, Sarah (Connor Appleby), Thomas, Kelsey (Madison Schrey) and Melissa (Michael Bryant); and her close friend Dolores Appleby. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to all the staff at the Apple Valley Rehab in Plainville for their devoted care of Shirley during this pandemic crisis.
