She was predeceased by: her husband Harland Burgess; her parents, Otto Zurell and Emily Zurell (Hintz); her daughter Holly Rosengrant; and her brother Otto Arthur Zurell Jr..
She is survived by: her son-in-law Donald Rosengrant; her granddaughter Lisa Rosengrant of Plantsville; her nephews, Donald Zurell, Jeffrey Zurell of Bristol, John Zurell and Warren Zurell; and her niece Mary Zurell.
