He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Thomas Jr. and Jennie Thomas (Surgoft); and his siblings, Robert S. Thomas and Carol Markham (Ralph). He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his son Richard R. Thomas of New Haven; his grandsons, Zachary Thomas and Tanner Thomas; his brother Tedd Thomas (Rebecca); his sister-in-law Patricia Thomas of Oxford; and also Kelly Thomas of Southington. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
A graveside burial service will be held in Evergreen Cemetery, 183 North Street Watertown, on Saturday December 5th at 11:00 a. m., observing COVID 19 guidelines.
