He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew James "Bud" Durant and Anne Gene Durant (Gregorzek); and his sister Ann Patricia Sacco Lawson. He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Durant (Tim Paradis); and his grandchildren, Samantha and Tim Jr.. He is also survived by uncle, aunt, nephew, niece, cousins and many lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family.
