With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lester J. Markie of Plainville, Connecticut, born in Bristol, Connecticut, who passed away on September 21, 2022 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Markie and Viola Markie (Reed); his siblings, Larry, Donald Markie, Rose Johnson and Arlene Chapin; and his granddaughter Amanda Dery.
He is survived by: his wife Judy (Vojtila); his children, Jeffrey Markie of Bristol, Sharon Dery (Raymond) of Bristol, Sandra Rinaldi of Largo, FL, Laurie Fonck of Bristol and Lynn Salerno (Peter) of Oldsmar, FL; his stepsons, Jamie Dupont (Rachel) of Colchester and Wesley Dupont (Lana) of Cromwell; his siblings, William Markie (Caroline) of Southington and Ann Vaughn (Bob) of New Mexico; his son Fred Seeley (Jen) of Bristol; his sisters-in-law, Carol Vojtila (Fred Sidoti) of Plainville, Linnette Vojtila of Plainville, Phyllis Vojtila of Brownsville, NY, Lois Markie of Oakville and Linda Markie of Wolcott; and his pet Keirwy. He is also survived by grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.
