He is survived by: his spouse Filomena "Queenie" Hovhanessian (Semonian); his parents, Osanna Hovhanessian (Manoogian) and Hagop "Jack"; his friends, Harry Egazarian and Albert Boyajian; his children, John, Mark, Armenian, Darlene (Dave Clavette) and Gary; his daughter-in-law Ellen; his granddaughters, Marlo (Brett McQuiggan), Elissa (Brian Killeen), Cara (Livvy Hovhanessian) and Hayley; his great grandchildren, Eve, Kyla and Rose; and his sisters, Eleanor, Elizabeth "Lizzie", Annie (Tony) and Sarah. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
