We are sad to announce that on September 11, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Sophie Shagzda Sinkunas (Plainfield, Connecticut), born in Kenosha, Wisconsin. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Shagzda and Jennie Shagzda; her siblings, Adolph and Anna; her husband Bruno Sinkunas; her nephew Vyto Lugauskas; and her great-niece Erin.
She is survived by: her daughter Sonia; her son-in-law Albert Chapman; her grandchildren, Vicki Poirier (Scott), Lori Chapman, Emma and Matthew Poirier; her nieces, Gen Wakely, Mirta D'Avanzo, Colleen Lugauskas and Denise Lugauskas; and her pet Sophia. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews who she considered as her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Central Village Fire Department who has helped the family over the years.
