It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Jean Simonds of Plainfield, Connecticut, who passed away on March 17, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Sr. Cornell and Cora Cornell (Belknap) of Plainfield; her husband Gerald Simonds; and her siblings, Joyce Cornell, Alfred Cornell, Julia Credit (Cornell) and Lois O'Koney (Cornell).
She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy Simonds of Plainfield and Heather Cargene (Peter) of Plainfield; her grandchildren, Shelby Cargene (Dominic Passarello) of Windham, Hunter Cargene (Kimberly Buteau) of Oxford, MA and Jacob Cargene (Aubrey Crandal) of Canterbury; her great grandchildren, Kinsley Cargene of Oxford, MA, Sawyer and Wyatt Cargene of Canterbury; and her siblings, Amos Cornell Jr. of Plainfield and Priscilla Frink of Plainfield. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
