Maureen Opperman Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maureen Opperman (Plainfield, Connecticut), who passed away on September 1, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Susanne Gillow (Berton) and Samuel Gillow; her husband Fred Opperman; her children, David Opperman (Nory) of Voluntown and Anne Opperman of Brooklyn; her grandchildren, Hilary Opperman of New Haven, Derek Opperman (Joslyn) of Los Angeles and Emily Opperman of Boston; her great grandchild Sophie Opperman; and her sisters, Valerie Orefice of Wallingford and Flora Shippee. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and special friends.

The family asks that social distancing and mask wearing precautions be observed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maureen's memory to the Plainfield Congregational Church at 519 Norwich Road.
