He was predeceased by : his mother Maureen Boyle; and his brothers, David Boyle and Charles McMullin. He is survived by : his wife Deanna Boyle (Depoutot); his children, Amber Larson (Christopher) of Texas, Robert Strickland of Enfield Connecticut, James Boyle Jr. (Megan Greer) of Putnam Connecticut and Allison Stringer (Joshua) of Moosup Connecticut; and his grandchildren, Thomas, Chase, Ryder, Olivia, Violet and Sadie.
