He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Griffin and Edith Griffin (Poole); his daughter Maura Anne Griffin; and his siblings, Doris Griffin, Barbara Griffin, Marion Violette, Carol Cauette, Virginia Surprenant, Henry Jr., Thomas, Richard, Walter and Raymond Griffin.
He is survived by: his daughter Colleen Diodato (Stephan); his grandson Alex Diodato; and his sister Evelyn Brix of Plainfield. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ed's name may be made to the national Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
