He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Walenta and Catherine Walenta (McCann). He is survived by: his wife Ann Blalsdell Walenta; his children, Michael (Kerrie), Pam (Bob), Danny (Jane), Donald and Deanna; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Brittney, Jessie, Hayden, Matthew, Nicholas, Daniel, Annalicia and Steven. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
