He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth I. Nicol (Irving) and Arthur O. Nicol Sr.; and his wife Irene C. Nicol (Bowen). He is survived by: his sons, David W. Nicol (Sean Gannon) and Kevin Nicol (Michelle); his grandchildren, Ethan A., Evan D., Megan E. and Kyle R. Nicol; his siblings, Shirly M. Massey (Nicol) and Wayne S. Nicol (Jeanne); and his sister-in-law Mary LaPalme (Bowen). He is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Plainfield Ambulance and Fire Company.
