He was predeceased by: his parent Albert J. Sr; his son Albert J. DesChamps III; and his sister Joyce Ellal. He is survived by: his spouse Dorothy DesChamps (Bessette); his parent Blanche DesChamps, Sr. (Blanchette); his children, Joseph A. DesChamps of Danielson, Marie Parker, Laverne McLean of Norwich, Karen Bernard, Dorothy Hagge Of Putnam, Brenda DesChamps of Moosup, Blanche Navan of Sterling and Alison DesChamps of Wauregan; and his siblings, Richard DesChamps of Voluntown, Ronnie DesChamps of Moosup and Regina DesChamps of Hanover. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
