He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Gonsalves Sr. and Maria; and his brother Joseph Gonsalves of New Bedford, MA.. He is survived by: his wife Filomena "Anita" Gonsalves (Brito); his children, Christopher of Pawcatuck and Darcie (Barb); his granddaughter Vivi; and his sisters, Maria Gonsalves and Maryanne Costa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
