He was predeceased by: his sister Gayle Jarvela. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Buffing; his children, Diane (Stephen Doyon), Lori (Bill Bernabucci), Kathryn (Michael De Blasio) and Michael Buffing; his grandsons, Wyatt Doyon and James De Blasio; and his sister Lynn Buffing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Bill's memory can be made to the American Heart Association.
