He was predeceased by: his mother Amy Williams Birkmaier; his aunt Kathy Birkmaier; his sister Stacey Birkmaier; and his grandparents, Artemas Birkmaier II (Ted), Bill and Betty Williams.

He is survived by: his father Artemas T. Birkmaier III; his son Oxford; his grandmother Kay Birkmaier; his sister Jessica Langevin (Scott); his niece Amelia; his siblings, Adam Westenburger, Amber Westenberger and Ashley Linden; his aunts, Barbara Birkmaier, Cindy Birkmaier and Wendy Birkmaier; his fiancée Nichole Vadala; his siblings, Vinny, Richy Vadala and Misty Pereira (Victor); his niece Brianna; his nephew Camerin; and also, Mary and Vinny Vadala.

Memorial contributions in Ryan's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's hospital.
