He was predeceased by: his father Harry Budrow; his wife Catherine; and his siblings, Harry, Alan and Betty.

He is survived by: his son Bruce of Colorado; and his stepchildren, Cheryl Sonick (John Hursh) of Fairfield and David Ives (Lee) of Oxford.
