He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Briggs and Beatrice Howard Briggs. He is survived by: his wife Della Fowler Briggs; his brother Francis J. Briggs of Shelton; and his grandchildren, Michael III, Mallory, Jack Briggs, Nicholas, Morgan and Christopher Sharry.
