“Michelle, Steven, and Mitchell, I worked with Marty at Hofstra University for about 15 years, until we both retired in late 2013. He was my supervisor for several of those years and I really enjoyed our work relationship. He was a dedicated professional, and such an interesting person. I was very sad to hear of his passing, as were my fellow colleagues. I wish him peace and wish you comfort in the days ahead. With my sincere condolences, Penny Piro”

“Dear Michelle, Steven, Mitchell, & Family: I was shocked & saddened to hear of Martin's passing. He was 1 of my best friends from 3rd grade on. Marty & I lived in Marble Hill in N Manhattan/NW Bronx, 1960s, & hung out a lot. He was always the nicest, kindest, & sweetest person. We unfortunately got out of touch after jr high. It wasn't until 2012 when we found each other after nearly 50 yrs. He visited me 2X when I saw my Mom in Norwalk, CT, last in 2017. He will be greatly missed. Much sympathy”
