It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene E. Charney of Oxford, Connecticut, born in Bronx, New York, who passed away on July 21, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Frank J. Charney, Jr.; her parents, Paul Mason and Irene Gliganic Mason; and her son Brian Charney. She is survived by: her children, Craig Charney (Kim), Gary Charney of Stratford and Karen McIlhoney (Terry) of Oxford; her daughter-in-law Michele Charney of Stratford; her grandchildren, Frank Charney of Stratford, Nicholas Charney, Alexis Charney, Sonny Novotny of Seymour, Cody Novotny, Alex Charney of Stratford, Joseph Elwell, Jr. of Bristol and David Elwell of New Hartford; and her great grandchild David Elwell, Jr. of New Hartford.
