It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Robert Hamila Jr. (Oxford, Connecticut), born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on December 1, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Patricia Murray Hamila; and his stepfather Frank Soltis. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Crocamo Hamila; his children, George R. Hamila, III of Newport News, VA., Robert Hamila (Bethann) of Oxford and Lindsay Wayman of Waterbury; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Matthew and Robert Hamila; and his great grandchildren, Joey, Emma, Arthur Hamila and Artemis Stevenson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in George's memory may be made to the David S. Miles Post 174 American Legion of Oxford through the funeral home.
