He is survived by: his wife Cecilia "Cissie" Korzan Athanasiou; his children, Marc Athanasiou of Oxford, Jason Athanasiou (Maria) of Oxford and Erin Athanasiou (John O'Connell) of Derby; his brothers, Charles Athanasiou (Jackie Holloway) of Naugatuck and William Athans of Shelton; and his grandchildren, Angel Lynn of Oxford, Christian Athanasiou of Oxford and Serenity Athanasiou of Oxford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
