He is survived by: his children, Frederick D. Schiavi, III (Kelly) of Oxford and Lisa Hellauer (Edwin) of Oxford; his brother Donald Schiavi (Elinor) of Seymour; his grandchildren, Lindsey Grailich (Tyler) of Oxford, Christie Hellauer of Oxford, Jake Schiavi of Oxford and Kassidy Schiavi of Oxford; and his great grandchild Aubrey Grailich of Oxford. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
