He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Gershenow and Esther Gershenow. He is survived by: his wife Rochelle; his sons, Alexander Gershenow and Eric Gershenow (Mariangela Saavedra); his stepdaughters, Francine Cohen (Jacob Kessler) and Rebecca Samberg (Sean); and his grandchildren, Halin, Paul and Bennett.
After retiring from the government, Earl went to work for the Human Growth Foundation as their webmaster and list administrator, where he remained for approximately twelve years. His professional memberships included: Member, Board of Directors of the Human Growth Foundation; Member, The Endocrine Society; and Member, American Health Lawyers Association, He took great pleasure in helping people.
