The passing of David Smarz of Oxford, Connecticut leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 27, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Smarz and Florence Skelding Smarz. He is survived by: his wife Lori Fox Smarz; his sons, Robert and Matthew; his brothers, Michael, George (Barb) and Christopher; and his sisters-in-law, Cindy Sampson (Rob) and Cori Catandella. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pistey Funeral Home (2611 Main St, Stratford, CT 06615). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mark Church (500 Wigwam Ln, Stratford, CT 06614).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David's memory to the A-T Children's Project which supports research to find a cure for his son Rob.
