He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Herring and Rosemary Kane Herring; and his brother William Herring. He is survived by: his wife Christine Toney; his children, Patrick Herring (Stephanie Faringer) of Brooklyn, NY and Nicole Forstrom (Brett); his grandsons, Austin and Tanner of Sandy Hook, CT; and his sisters, Kathleen Rutledge (Robert) of Millsboro, DE and Diane Bessman (Adam) of Poughkeepsie, NY. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
