She was predeceased by: her husband James C. Searles; and her parents, Paul Burgess and Helen Burgess (Kerivan). She is survived by: her sons, Kevin Margenau (Michele) and Keith Margenau (Paula); her stepchildren, Susan Schmitt (Matt) and David Searles; her grandchildren, Kyle, Matthew, Paige Margenau, Sam and Benjamin Schmitt; and her brother P. Douglas Burgess (Sue).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Orange Historical Society.
