We are sad to announce that on June 29, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Leroy Edwin Emmerthal of Orange, Connecticut, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Emmerthal and Caroline Emmerthal (O'Connell); his grandmother Grace Emmerthal (Miller); his siblings, Albert, June Hornak and Joyce Eaton; and his uncles, Irving, Wilbur and Lawrence Emmerthal.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Prusaczyk); his children, Linda Welch (William "BJ"), Leroy "Roy" (Susan) and Ronald "Ron" (Denise); and his grandchildren, David, Meaghan, Matthew Emmerthal, Amanda Welch (Gregory "Greg" Matthews), Joseph "Joe" Welch (Ashley), Christina Emmerthal and Eric Bey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Smilow Cancer Hospital, through their Trumbull Center.; We'd like to thank Connecticut Hospice, ElderCare CT and his primary caretaker, Howie, for the excellent care and quality of life they provided him during the final months of his life.
