It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Conners of Orange, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on June 23, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William L. Conners, Sr.; her parents, John R. Beattie and Agnes Kane Beattie; her brother John R. Beattie, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Gillian Lawrence, Robert Douglas, Lucille Hamilton, Maeve Ashmore, Elizabeth, Timothy Antalik, Liam, Ethan, Elaria Conners, William Wolfrum and Aoife Conners.
She is survived by: her sister Frances Beattie Shepherd of Arlington, VT; and her children, Mary Conners Ashmore, Frances Conners (James Hamilton), Anne Conners (Keith Lawrence), Jennifer Conners, William Conners, Jr. (Pia) and John Conners (Kirche Zeile). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Joan supported countless charities focused on the needs of children, so in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to a children's charity of choice.
