She was predeceased by: her spouse Emil Joseph Turecek; her daughter Peggy; her siblings, Emil Tichy, Jeremiah Tichy, Joseph Tichy, Vincent Tichy and Mary Ecsedy; her niece Francine Ecsedy Cunningham; her nephew John Tichy; and her friend Mort Saffran.
She is survived by: her daughters, Louise Brown (Dennis) of Orange and Geraldine Turecek of Milford; her grandsons, Nick Brown of Orange and Noah Brown of Orange; her son-in-law Bob Nikituk of Seymour; her sister-in-law Helen Tichy of Huntington; her niece Kathy Franklin; and her friend Jeanette Gonos. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A caregiver herself, she took care of her mother until her mother's passing, her husband during his long battle with early onset Alzheimer's disease, and her daughter Peggy who was ill for many years and passed in 2009.
