It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Vitelli of Orange, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Adamo T. Vitelli and Angelina E. Ortale; his siblings, Mary, Gabriel, Anthony, George and Thomas; and his sisters-in-law, Gwen, Mary Lou and Carol.

He is survived by: his wife Marie G. Vitelli (Bernacchia); his children, Mark, Stephen (Lisa Marie), Lauren and David (Jessica); his sister-in-law Nancy (Gabriel); and his grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew, Jason, Nicholas and Nina. He is also survived by grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Our family sends special thanks and appreciation to the Yale New Haven COVID Ward for your care of our beloved Gene in the past week.
