It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Nielsen of Orange, Connecticut, who passed away on May 29, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald Nielsen to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Nielsen and Catherine Nielsen; and his wife Nancy Burnham Nielsen. He is survived by: his son Brent D. Nielsen (Shirley) of West Haven; his grandchildren, Katie Busk (David) and Jeffrey Nielsen (Angela) of West Haven; his great grandchildren, Mason, Lacey Busk, Jaxson and Jaymeson Nielsen of West Haven; his sister Lois Estep of Old Lyme; and his nephew Keith Estep of Moosup. He is also survived by his wife, his son his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.
At this time, based on the current Covid-19 health guidelines, a memorial service will be held in the future.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to New Haven Gridiron Club or CT Hospice in Branford, who were so wonderful to both Nancy and Donald.
