Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Chance Dian Thompson of Orange, Connecticut, born in Phoenix, Arizona, who passed away at the age of 19, on July 9, 2022. She was predeceased by: her mother Misty Thompson; her grandmother Sherrie Ritzman; and her great-grandparents, Dian and Harlan Ries. She is survived by: her brother Bryant Vanderlei; her grandfather Glen "Poppy" Ritzman; her aunts, Kristy, Jennifer Kline and Jennifer Van Etten; her uncle Will Yocum; her cousins, Amanda, Jonathan, Marissa, Aaliyah and Tavion; her great-uncle Eugene Ries; her godparents, Lisa and Chris Dunn; and her father Allan Cox Jr.. She is also survived by many pets and good friends.
She planned to visit Italy during her senior year of high school, but was unable due to COVID.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Orange Historical Society.
