It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ann Atwood (Old Saybrook, Connecticut), who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Chester and Theresa Chester (Marron); and her husband Kenny Atwood. She is survived by: her daughter Sarah Cirillo; her son-in-law Giuliano Cirillo of Deep River, CT; her grandchildren, Christopher Birdsey, Katherine Cirillo and Nicholas Cirillo; her sister Eileen Daverio of Old Saybrook, CT; her cousin Michael Boyko (Lisa) of New Britain, CT; and her friend Michelle Fiala of Oakdale, CT..

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent in Mary Ann's name to Deep River Ambulance Association or the Connecticut Humane Society.

She was very intelligent and was one who put you at ease when conversing with her. I remember that she was always smiling and seemed to have a great attitude towards life. I am sorry for your loss and pray that Mary Ann Is at peace forever in the sight of her Creator. May God watch over her family and give them peace.”
