It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Stangel of Old Saybrook, Connecticut, born in Queens, New York, who passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his parents, John Stangel and Sheila Stangel (Sullivan); his wife Patrice (Frattaroli); his children, Shane, Katie, Aubrey, Erin and Samantha Calabrese (Rob Calabrese); and his siblings, Peter (Tara), Patricia Brooks (Jay), Stephen, Matthew (Ruth), Theresa (Julie) and Paul (Helen).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests any donations to be sent to Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale.
