He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Stanley Migatz Sr. and Anna Migatz (Puzewski); his daughter Laura Jean Migatz Sullivan; his grandson Emilio Collado; and his uncle Lucian Puzewski.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Lois Migatz (Otfinowski); his children, Michael Joseph Migatz of Old Lyme and Carol Ann Migatz (David Reese Kean) of Old Lyme; and his grandson Joseph James Sullivan of Wethersfield, CT.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
